I am remiss in getting these remaining calendar pieces posted!
This year, EQFA did a really ambitious project for the ElfQuest Fan Art calendar -- for one thing, they were all WEEKLY calendars, and the theme for this 10th anniversary was pin-up pictures based on the idea of the ones that Wendy Pini did for a calendar back in 1998, I think. The response was so big that there was not only enough art for 53 weeks of 2012... but similar calendars for 2013 and 2014 as well. I wound up doing 1 piece for 2012, and two pieces each for 2013 and 2014.

Woodlock was another choice who really wasn't my "choice", per se, but rather was one of the characters who had not yet been represented in the calendar, and it seemed like he ought to be. He's not a "major" character in most people's minds, I think, but he's one of the Original Quest wolfriders, and he is often overlooked. So I regarded doing him as an interesting challenge. I really enjoyed trying to bring out the "sexy" side to him, to represent that he is most often thought of in relation to his very successful Recognition with Rainsong. In elf terms, they had a lot of kids very close together, but they are more often depicted as parents rathe than lovers, which seems a shame. I chose to do him in his Original Quest costume, rather than the clothes he later started wearing once he had settled in the Sun Village, in order to emphasize his wolfrider roots.
